My name is Ray and I’m a third year student at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, studying anthropology. This is my first shot at a blog, so I figured I’d write about food. Over the summer I raised my own organic vegetable garden. I love slowing down my life everyday to cook and experiment with different kinds of food. I try to be eco-conscious when choosing my food and in living my life. I’m quite passionate about growing, buying, cooking and eating food. So I hope you enjoy my tidbits about food, cooking and life in general.

Currently residing in Providence, Rhode Island, I'm an alumni from UW-Madison, and a continuing MA student (all but thesis) at the University of Denver. Over the past couple years, I've stumbled into an interesting array of fortuitous jobs and travel experiences, ranging from Minneapolis to Malta. I enjoy growing my own chemical free vegetable garden and spreading this passion to others. I'm also a giant literature fan, and absorb books when I have time. A few of my favorites include: Tale of the Unknown Island by Jose Saramago, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison and Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie. I love slowing down my life to cook, and experiment with different kinds of food, while listening to plethora of podcasts. I try to be ecologically conscious when choosing my food and in living my life. I hope you enjoy my tidbits about food, cooking and life in general. View all posts by Ray P.
